A project that goes beyond scents
What is Eleven People?
Eleven People is a candle design and manufacturing studio created in 2019 by Nicolás García and Carlos Martínez.
Based in Asturias, we seek inspiration in those places, travels and people who have somehow influenced us to make this project.
Each of the candles is handmade throughout the manufacturing process.
We work with vegetable soy wax and organic cotton wicks to obtain a clean combustion. They contain no preservatives or petroleum derivatives. They are cruelty free and 100% vegan.
Our scents are inspired by nature and made with phthalate-free botanical oils.
How was Eleven People created?
When we met, the connection was so strong that we decided to leave our jobs: Carlos at a boutique in Madrid, and Nico at the family coffee business. We began a new adventure together, driven by our passions. Empezamos una nueva aventura juntos, enfocada en nuestras pasiones. From the family home in Barcia, Los Oscos — a picturesque village in western Asturias, Spain — we started studying and exploring the fascinating world of scents, inspired by everything around us. That’s how Eleven People was born: a home fragrance brand crafted by hand, free from preservatives and petroleum derivatives, made in our Studio — a renovated old barn on the estate, where we also host in-person workshops for visitors.
Why Eleven People?
Carlos was born on November 11th at 11:11 p.m. So it’s a special number that has followed him throughout his life: the airplane seat, a hotel room number… And Nico had a previous project whose name played with the numbers 8, 9, and 10, so we unexpectedly realized that continuing with number 11 was a meaningful coincidence. And ‘people’ comes from our love for the world of scents and their connection to emotions and memories, which led us to create 11 blends inspired by the places, travels, and people we try to reflect in each fragrance.
Elegance and sustainability
We package each product with the environment in mind, using boxes made from organic waste.
Our range of paper, with natural colors, is produced through an eco-friendly process that results in elegant, sustainable, and timeless packaging that enhances the sensory experience of our products.
